Dennis Fergusson

Currently, Fergusson Financial is a one-person shop, although I have plans to hire staff as my business continues its strong and steady referral-only growth. I take pride in the fact that I have never valued quantity over quality. I manage a small but successful practice with a primary focus on comprehensive financial planning as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®. Attention to detail is extremely important to me.

In January 2007, I decided to start my own independent financial consulting firm after working with Ameriprise Financial, formerly American Express Financial Advisors, since 1998. I continue to specialize in retirement planning, investment planning, and education planning.

I earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northeastern University, graduating in 1996.

I have earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, as well as the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation.

The CFP® certification process, administered by the CFP Board, identifies to the public that those individuals who have been authorized to use the CFP® certification marks in the U.S. have met rigorous professional standards and have agreed to adhere to the principles of integrity, objectivity, competence, fairness, confidentiality, professionalism, and diligence when dealing with clients.

Advisors who have earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® designation are able to immediately show that they are interested in and working toward the best interests of their clients. They have gone through training, met the qualifications, and passed the exam allowing use of the AIF® designation. The mark coupled with the knowledge and processes taught in the course make it easy for advisors to quickly show the added value they bring to prospective and existing clients.

I currently reside in Reading with my wife, Susan, and our two sons, Anthony and Nicolas.
